Circus was founded in 2024 in South East London by Harry Swinhoe, an amateur athlete who found solace in trail running, a welcome counterpoint to modern living. The brand is the culmination of many miles, his career in endurance sports and fashion, and a desire to create technical apparel with a distinct, minimalist approach. Removing all but the necessary items, just as sport helped give clarity in his life.

The Circus name honours trail running’s outsider spirit. Its roots are found beyond convention, in the places where freedom and discipline colide. Much like the travelling circuses of old, Circus celebrates those misfits, the curious and unruly. Our logo, the Rascal, draws from the Satyr: part human, part wild creature. A true spirit of the wild.
