Circus was born from a belief that running is more than a performance. It is expression and ritual. A moment of clarity in a chaotic world. Founded in 2024 in South East London by Harry Swinhoe & Bryan Kinghorn, the brand formed from a creative restlessness and a desire to challenge what running apparel had become. In a landscape cluttered by disposable fabrics and trend-led design, Circus set out to do the opposite, create something quieter, considered and built to outlast across all disciplines. At its core is a simple idea: athletics without constraint, unbound from physical, mental or creative barriers.

The name Circus reflects running’s outsider roots. The sport was once for those on the fringes of culture, dismissed by the masses and misunderstood. It was reserved for misfits, not unlike the traveling circuses of old. It speaks to a legacy that thrived on freedom, discipline and a refusal to conform. Our brand logo, the Rascal, takes inspiration from the Satyr, a sportive figure from Greek mythology, part-human, part-goat, a true spirit of the wild.
